May 2004. Eugene Mallove, the editor of Infinite Energy magazine and the author of “Fire from Ice: Searching for the Truth behind the Cold Fusion Furor,” was killed on May 14, 2004. The police consider this a homicide and an investigation is underway. He is survived by his wife Joanne, son Ethan and daughter Kim.
